The interactive training sessions
train teachers to do the following:
1. Creative delivery of lessons and also teach pupils to do same.
Creative writings and illustrations is encouraged.
2. Relate their lessons to the environment and encourage research work.
3. Appreciate pupil’s academic skills, interests and multi-cultural
background in the evaluation of the pupil's work
4. Teach individuals and not whole class. i.e ensure that the different
ability groups are carried along during topic delivery. Pupil's need
should be met.
5. Link up with other departments, and subjects within the school
curriculum to achieve the best delivery of topics.
6. See every lesson as an opportunity to inspire talents - pupils must be
able to see and appreciate teacher’s talents, then they can be inspired to
exhibit theirs too.
7. Appreciate co-curricular activities as an integral part of a balanced
literacy programme, which helps to inspire pupils’ interest in creative
works. This unearths their hidden talents which should be showcased in
organized exhibitions.
8. Organize educational trips that would enhance the curricular /co-
curricular activities undertaken by teachers and pupils. Reports on trips
are encouraged.
9. Create income earning activities for both pupils and the school. e.g.
publications, exhibitions etc.
10. Increase their potentials and make themselves more marketable.
